Yes. This motion sensor requires a compatible HomeHub that supports both Bluetooth and Zigbee. Without a HomeHub, it can’t connect to the app or enable alerts/automations.
It uses an IR (infrared) sensor to detect changes in heat/infrared in its view. When motion is detected, it can send an alert to your phone within seconds.
Coverage is up to about 1,400 sq ft depending on placement, layout, and obstructions. For best results, place it with a clear view and avoid direct sunlight or strong heat sources.
Yes. With a HomeHub, you can set automations in the app with other Adaprox devices—for example, triggering an alarm at night or turning on a light at low brightness when motion is detected.
Yes. It reports status changes to the cloud and you can view motion history in the app. A CR2 battery can last up to about 9 months under typical use (around 4 activations per day). To replace it, slide off the cover and swap in a new CR2.
